2017 Spring terrace after

            Removed the little boxwoods, added 70 peonies to the 40 planted here in 2015. Added 1500 spring bulbs to the over 2000 already planted. replaced the clay soil (hardpan, like a BRICK), with rich topsoil to a depth of 12 inches. Also planted more spring flowering plants and added a fall border on top of the newly planted bulbs where the topsoil was added.  Replenished the pea gravel path and added new edging.     
And I am adding a fall border of Hardy ageratum, sedum spectabile, purple aster, goldenrod, artemesia in the new area with the nice black topsoil!
