1968 Dodge Charger R/T - Summer Of Love

Since it's going to be in the single digits over the next few days in Spokane, WA, I thought this might be a good time to fondly remember summer.

Sometimes I get a kick out of knowing that the 1968 Charger was introduced smack dab in the middle of one of the most fascinating times in our nation's history.

The summer of love, the age of enlightenment (mostly through psychedelic drugs), the Vietnam war, the Beatles, the fall of social taboos, and the rise of a raucous counterculture. All that and much, much, more was happening in the fall of 1967 through the summer of 1968.

And in the middle of it all, the brand new 1968 Dodge Charger. ;-)
