The Start of the Day! - a photo on Flickriver

            It's very early on a Spring morning in the railway yard at Beamish Museum and three beautifully restored steam giants are about to be awakened from their overnight slumber.

On the left is 1916-built Mann steam wagon No.1120, registered U 3781 and carrying a removals van body. In the centre is 1920-built Foden flatbed steam wagon No.10320, registered BS 9983 although, in this shot, the registration number is covered by the War Department "O.H.M.S." sign - meaning "On His Majesty's Service". Finally, on the right, is 1906-built Foden traction engine No.1310, registered BF 5543.

The engines were at the museum as part of the Great War Steam Event held 7 - 10 April 2016.
