Time never waits - a photo on Flickriver

Time never waits

I simply cannot forget how I managed to take this shot!

I had never planned to visit this place "Wadi Laban" for photography. One evening I accidentally came across this ravine, but I was without my camera. The place is about 25 km from my home. Nevertheless, I decided to come again the next evening with some supporting objects!

So here is the supporting object, an HOURGLASS, which I bought from Singapore as a souvenir. I went to the edge of the ravine to see that the sun is disappearing quickly. I wanted to portray sunset against the hourglass.

Hastily, I tried to find a smooth surface which could have the desired background. I could not find any smooth and elevated surface to place the hourglass. Anxiously moving from one spot to another, I tried to find better than worst place, even endangering my camera, tripod and even myself over the rubble around this place.

Finally I got what i was looking for. After several shots, I was able to have something like this, though not exactly what I had desired, the sun had almost vanished for the day!
