            The photo shows the altar painting of the church (It shows the announcement of the birth of Christ to the shepherds with the angel Gabriel), before it altar and pulpit; in the foreground the sarcophagus of duke Friedrich.

The monumental Ludwigsluster town church became times of the residence settlement between 1765 - in 1770 builds and looks with her classicistic facade very temple-like. Inside of the church Herzog Friedrich the devout, the founder of the church rests under a granite block. The chancel lies ten steps raised to which on both sides wide-curved stairs go up. In the middle before the altar is the pulpit ange-broke. The interior repeats in the same axis the arrangement of throne and altar like castle and church. Behind the gigantic painting, there is the organ (Frisian).

In the interior above all the gigantic painting strikes in the chancel which covers the whole south wall. The depth effect of the painting is still strengthened by the use of different painted levels. It shows the announcement of the birth of Christ to the shepherds with the angel Gabriel. It was explained by two painters. It had begun Johann Dietrich Findorff who painted, however, only the upper part of the painting. It was completed only after 30 years by Johann Heinrich Suhrlandt. Behind the upper part of this painting she is in 1876, from the organ construction workshop friezes, built organ. Compared with the altar wall there is the box of the Mecklenburg dukes. The altar itself is raised by several metres about the local space and more than two lateral stairs is accessible. The pulpit is inserted centrally in the railing. Under it a descending stair leads to the door of the prince's crypt which is put on in kind of a Confessio.
