1950 Walita stand mixer - a photo on Flickriver

1950 Walita stand mixer

            Stand mixer from the ending of 40's made by Walita until about 1954 and made under Kenmore brand for Sears since 1955 to early 60's.
Its architecture was based on the Hamilton Beach stand mixer "G" from the 40's as well its cute opaline tulip-shaped bowls, but its motor is completely different, coming from the Walita blenders; unlike the H.B. mixer, it already was compatible for both AC and DC power suppliers, despite DC suppliers was pretty rare in Brazil. Due to be locally produced, it used to cost about US$100 cheaper than the Hamilton Beach, Sunbeam and Dormeyer models, which were imported from US.
Although the head motor is detachable for a portable use, it is a little bit hefty, mounted on the stand base with the bowls and juicer it becomes pretty heavy!
