Ah, Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi, TX. This little venue over in Downtown Corpus Christi is probably the most visited and premier music venue in South Texas. There a couple other close venues / Bars that are right near here with good music, but this is the most specialized and coveted one of the bunch.

Every Thursday night they feature a few Texas Country bands on "Texas Country Thursdays", but every once in awhile they will have a big band come through like Randy Rogers Band. These are pictures from that sold out show, where i got to spend the time on top of the soda machine getting crowd shots. Undoubtedly, the only shots of its kind as of the time i wrote this entry.

For this show, i initially was way up front there by the pink lights, where i was smashed against the rail and had a constant mist of beer and spit being thrown at me. Afterwards, I walked around the bar looking for some good shots of the venue with all the people at the request of Brewster Street Staff. It was then that I saw the big Moose Head over the bar, and perked above it was a small balcony, that would be perfect for spotlights, or a photographer!

Climbing up there, I got some great venue shots with my kit lens on my D90. I had to open up the shutter and kick up the ISO to get these shots, so they didnt come out as crisp as I wanted. After heavy editing in CAPTURE NX, here are the shots I came out with. Not many, but gives you a good Idea of the level of fans that this band has, and the level of fans that Corpus Christi has of Texas Music.
