Wickor Point - a photo on Flickriver

This snap was taken from the Thorney Island coastal path looking west towards the gap between Hayling Island and Emsworth. My Ordnance Survey map reliably tells me it is called Wickor Point, so I’ll run with that.  

It can be a bit bleak and windswept along this path and more often than not, thin pickings for toggers. This is especially so given it is quite such a long walk from the nearest car park!  However, I have wanted to try and capture one of these deep mud channels, created from the daily tidal surges in and out of the harbour, for a while. On this occasion  I was thankful for a reasonable sunset but also live in hope that a nice boat wreck will suddenly appear one day or an 18th century Spanish galleon will be moored down there for a few days to give the area just a bit more of a focal point!
