Mounds Mall Anderson IN - a photo on Flickriver

            Mounds Mall opened its doors in 1965. It is the first fully enclosed mall developed by Simon Property Group. Originally anchored by Montgomery Ward and H.P. Wasson. Montgomery Ward closed this location in 1983 and Sears moved in a short time later. Sears closed its store at Mounds Mall in early 2012. H.P. Wasson after many iterations finally became a Carson's in 2011. The mall also features a movie theater. On January 31, 2018 it was announced that Carson's would be closing at the Mounds Mall. This closing would trigger the closing of the Mounds mall which announced on March 1, 2018 that the mall would close for good on April 1, 2018.
