Survey in the waters off Mozambique - a photo on Flickriver

Dr. Fridtjof Nansen is now in Mozambique. We have having regular lectures onboard in various topic relevant for our work. Yesterday Oddgeir held his lecture in fish taxonomy and identification of fish. Very popular among the participants.
So far we have found about 450 different species of fish and invertebrates in the trawl catches. The work in the lab is challanging but also rewarding. We have found a number of fantastic animals, some of them found in Mozambique for the first time and possibly also a new species for science. Time will show...
