Hoerikwaggo Trail: SS Kakapo - a photo on Flickriver

On the afternoon of day 3 of the Hoerikwaggo Trail, Table Mountain National Park, we were driven along Chapman's Drive (as access to Chapman's Peak is not allowed any more as it is private property) to Noordhoek where we walked along the beach to Kommetjie and our accommodation - Slangkop Tented Camp.
Along the way we saw the shipwreck of the SS Kakapo, wrecked on its maiden voyage in 1900 while on its way to NZ.

We also saw the first signs of a major bushfire on Table Mountain near Camp's Bay - if we had started our walk two days later, we wouldn't have been able to walk through Orange Kloof or stay at Orange Kloof camp.
