Brrr! Where Is My Electric Blanket? - a photo on Flickriver

            What's going on? I asked the concierge for my winter coat, and my electric blanket!

I might have to eat one of the staff so the rest smarten up!

A very cold wintery blast on the weekend had the lions looking rather cold and miserable!

Sunday April 26 2009 was a very cold and wintery day, with storm force icy winds! This is a real contrast to the extremely warm and dry conditions persisting into late April – we have just had a week of sunny and warm weather, up to nearly 30C – which is historically very warm for Melbourne in Autumn.
This cold blast has kept most visitors away from the Zoo, but I came along, thinking that most animals would be more active.

Our lion kings looked rather uncomfortable today. In contrast, our new snow leopard family was very much at home!
