CHB - a photo on Flickriver

            I was driving home from Newcastle disappointed that I had slept through both a great sunset and sunrise. I decided to console myself with a trip to Catherine Hill Bay.
It was overcast and windy so obviously LE B W was the order of the day.
I wanted to use the Fuji X-Pro1 with shutter release cable I had just purchased however even with 2x 6 stop ND filters I could only get 30 seconds to 1 minute exposures as it was 5pm in the afternoon.
I decided to use stacking 12 x 30 second exposures to simulate a 6 minute exposure.
Unfortunately due to movement of the camera and differences in the LE water, auto align with stacking did not work so I had to manually align each of the 12 images in each of the 4 image stacks. Took about an hour to finish but I manage to put together this 4 shot pano that is basically a 6 minute exposure in full overcast afternoon light.
Happy with the results. I only have the 35mm F1.4 for the FUji so its quite a tight crop. I wasn't going to stick around and shoot more frames at 6 minute per frame to get a wider pano.
