1990 Vauxhall Astra Belmont LXi estate

            One of those weird estates which were for some reason badged as Belmonts (saloons). These are now very unusual models of the Mk2 Astra, I don't see an awful lot of estates any more, and this spec seems particularly unusual. 

I saw this one parked down an old fashioned unpaved back alley of some houses, where all the garages are. I'm guessing it's being used for parts looking at the missing pieces. That's a shame, as it's in excellent condition really! Paint looks excellent, so much tidier than most surviving Astras of the age. It even has those very unusual wheel trims still on, a style I'd love to own. 

Just 6 of this spec remain on the roads, this one obviously not one of them. Tax disc and DVLA tells me it was last on the roads in August 2009. I'm not quite sure why it was MOTed for two years after though?
