Desert Skies And Landscaping In The Town Of Borrego Springs

We spent this past weekend in the Anza Borrego desert with friends. The desert has a surreal look to it, and I think that infrared emphasizes that quality. The three elements that I look for when photographing in IR are water, vegetation and clouds. Here, I had to make do with two out of three as there was little water to be seen.

I've been taking infrared images for at least 15 years with a total of 3 different cameras, and it's so much easier to take infrared images digitally that it was in the film days. If you like this look, I have an album of infrared photographs, creatively named Infrared.
