Oradour-sur-Glane, France - a photo on Flickriver

            On 10th June 1944 the Nazis entered this town, herded the women and children into the church and then set fire to it. They assembled and executed the menfolk, then razed the town to the ground. It now stands as a memorial to wartime atrocities.

Everyone should go there and see the result of mindless destruction.
