Capybara With Babies - a photo on Flickriver

            Capybara are sexually mature before they are a year old. There are usually 4 or 5 pups in a litter. Although they are precocial (soon up and ready to go) - eating grass after one week, they are nursed for up to 16 weeks by their mother or any female in the group.
