La mer est un miracle, un autel tabernacle recevant les offrandes des nuits marées galantes. Sous le méridien bleu, à l’ombre de mes nuits, j’arpente la baie noire de ce pays d’ivoire.

Ivoire… un bien grand mot, plus de grands animaux, des oiseaux, oui, encore et touristes en pléthore. Petite côte jolie, tu es souillée, Saly, les hôtels de basse fosse, faune et flore ont fait rosses…

The sea is a miracle, a high altar accepting offerings from cloudy nights of gallant tides. Beneath the blue meridian, in the shadow of my nights, I survey the black bay of this ivory land.

Ivory, a too great word, no more big animals, birds, yes, but less than the plethora of tourists. Oh beautiful little coast, you are a mess, Saly, the lowest pits hotels, flora and fauna have made you rotten…
