Fate Bell Annex, Pecos River Style Pictographs, Seminole Canyon, Seminole Canyon State Park, Val Verde County, Texas 8

Fate Bell Shelter is a very famous archaeological site located in Seminole Canyon State Park. The park offers guided tours to view the Pecos River Style art work in both Fate Bell Shelter and Fate Bell Annex.

There has been a lot of activity in both shelters over the years and the artwork is somewhat worn and dust covered in places. Modern visitors have to walk on rubber mats that reduce dust and it really seems to work.

One of the most amazing things about Fate Bell Annex is just how high up the wall the art was produced. The "high panel" is 30 or more feet above current ground level.
