She was also holding onto life. ----- (She has now passed on.) She was born in Germany but lived most of her life in England.

This photo has become another plaything of Interestingness/Explore.
For two years it was the third photo in my list of Popular/Most Interesting photos. It was top or high in a number of Most Interesting Tags. And it got quite a lot of views, comments and faves.
Then suddenly it disappeared from my list of interesting photos, and from the Most interesting Tag lists where it had previously been at or near the top. Also it no longer got viewed, or commented on or faved.
Yes! I was fortunate to have had the exposure that Interestingness had brought. But I am also wary of the powers that Flickr wields, to give or withhold exposure. As a mere amateur it only dents my pride. But it might effect a professional materially.

***NB*** This photo has reappeared as the most interesting of my photos, more than two years after it had been banished. Of course I'm glad, as it again gets some attention. But it does still worry me that Flickr uses its powers to promote or denigrate (handicap?) photos.

(Most interesting Tag - hands-fingers-thumbs-OldAge-elderly -- or any others I have recently tried.)
