2010-05-08c Cheese Grater

The Charles Street car park, also known as "the Cheese Grater" in Sheffield.

The car park was designed by Allies and Morrison Architects (who also redeveloped Highbury, the former home of Arsenal football club) with identical panels angled in various directions to give the structure its unique look. Operated by Q-park, it has a capacity of 520 parking spaces over ten floors. It opened in 2008 and in 2013 won third place in the world's coolest car parks.

Taken with my Nikon D40, fitted with a Tamron 70-300mm F4/5.6 DI LD (Nikon AFS) lens, and processed in GIMP.
