Upright and Sideways - a photo on Flickriver

            This neat bluegrass trio was playing so closeby that during their mid-set break, I was able to go home, finish the sandwich I'd abandoned when I heard the music, and be back shortly after they started up again.

Back at home, it was another excuse to play with Luminar. I thought the music was a good match for something I'd tried earlier: converting the photos to black and white and then allowing two or three channels of color to bleed back in slightly. I like it because it reminds me of early color movies, where black and white film had been given the ability to record sort of a coral blue and a salmon pink. Once I'd created a look for one photo, I defined "Black and White and Red and Blue" as a preset filter. Just click to apply it to all of the other pix.
