Where the wish ends Where the wish ends
Where the wish ends

The incense coils at Man Mo temple float above the temple entrance and create a surreal atmosphere. You are transported into a different world of sights, sounds and smells as soon as you enter - the temple is enveloped in the smoke and scent of burning incense. It is one of the oldest temples on Hong Kong Island. These large incense coils are burnt by the devout (apparently they last up to 2 weeks!) to make their wishes come true. #4 on Explore Sheung Wan, Hong Kong 2007 Arjun Purkayastha • travel & fine art photography •
