Forbidden togetherness

Rarely do we pay attention to what lies behind a statue. Even if we look, most of the time, there is nothing to see. Because it is hollow, or flat, or no where near as interesting as the front half. I stumbled on this, purely by chance. Walking by early in the morning, this had its back turned towards the sidewalk, just as you see it here. It didn't really stand out and was quite missable, mostly because of its small size. As I passed it, it caught the corner of my eye and I turned back to have a closer look. I was quite pleased with this find. Bangkok, Thailand 2005 Arjun Purkayastha • travel & fine art photography •
