Los Angeles, CA the Bloc (formerly Broadway Plaza)

            Broadway Plaza was designed by Charles Luckman in 1973 for the headquarters of Broadway Hale Stores (which was renamed Carter Hawley Hale Stores in 1974). It contained a 33-story office tower, a Sheraton Hotel, and a 266,000 square foot flagship building for the Broadway Department Store (which moved from its original location on Broadway and 3rd). Macy's acquired Broadway Stores in 1996 and the complex was renamed Macy Plaza. The complex was renamed the Bloc in 2013 and underwent a massive renovation designed by Johnson Fain Architects.
