This tree Fig2 appears to have green ramiflorous/cauliflorous fruit ripening to red ?? as when I photographed it in July 2008 the fruit was red and on re-photographing it in February 2009 the fruit appeared at an immature stage and was green.

This tree (Fig2) is located across the road from Grafton City Council Offices just south of the entrance to Chattaway Street and should not be confused with another different Fig (Fig1) which is located right in the middle of the entrance to Chattaway Street and is listed in Grafton council's significant tree register as Ficus religiosa - (Fig1) ( Sacred Fig,Bo Tree,Religious Fig or Biblical Fig) although it appears that ID is not supported by the NCRBG herbarium who have indicated that the tree might be Ficus virens var.virens.
However with over 1000 ficus species worldwide (40 in Australia alone) it is no simple task to produce conclusive ID's for this genus.
