            The Greek soldier's cloak has fallen from his shoulders and left his body naked and he is bareheaded. His hair, eyes and lips bear traces of red brown. With his left hand he grasps the lower bridle of his adversary's horse and raises his sword with the other hand. He is thought to be an infantryman or a dismounted cavalryman. His cloak bears traces of purple.

The combat shows a Persian who has raised his pelta to protect himself and his dead friend from the mounted Greek on the right. The tunic of the Persian bears traces of blue. His belt was ochre yellow, the anaxyrides probably purple. The right arm of his long-sleeve tunic shows traces of red brown. The interior of his shield was painted in burgundy. The head has not survived. The fingers of his comrade's left hand are also missing. The latter falls lifeless form his horse. His tunic shows traces of yellow and red brown paint. His anaxyrides was violet; the shoe was probably blue, with its sole in red brown. The saddle of the animal was blue, with a bright red border decorated with foliage motif in white and a large fringe in blue. Its girth was red, breast collar yellow and red brown. The wounds of its chest and neck were bleeding. Under the horses' hooves and the corpes of a Greek who has fallen on his round shield and a Persian. The Greek's hair was ochre yellow. The wond on his chest and upper left arm were soaked in blood, shown in red. The Persian mouth is open and his lifeless left arm rests on his chest. A red shield with ochre yellow border ad a lance in ochre brown were painted on the background surface.
