Honorary Columns, Roman Forum, Rome - a photo on Flickriver

            Spaced at equal intervals along the southern edge of the Forum square and seven enormous brick pedestals, in varying states of preservation: they were originally faced with marble and had cores of peperino stone which made them attractive for stone robbers. The first two at the eastern end have been restored.
