Saying Goodbye to Summer Saying Goodbye to Summer
Saying Goodbye to Summer

... arrivederci. An End to Summer After a photo by Cherilyn Ferroggiaro Clouds a mirage in front of us, ruffled and preening, we ready ourselves on the diagonal power line. The once yellow world is graying, but we are starling-minded, silhouetted, beaked and fluffed. Passersby may not think we are of consequence. Our very thoughts migrate ahead flocking down the flyways. Ticking engines within urge us to take wing, to melt into the surrounding sky. -Martin H. Dickinson *Thank you! The poem is extremely beautiful! Cher
