Terracotta Panel _Vishnupur Temple_Ramayana

            Battle of Rama ( centre)  and Ravana (RH). The monkey soldiers are in the LH panel.
Both Rama and Ravana are  on chariots  pulled by  elephants. One can also see the wheels.
Also note the light and shadow created by the projected cornice .

This photo was taken a  decade ago. I am now working on Terracotta temples of Bengal . fresh fotos will be posted after the monsonn is over and I can visit Bankura and Birbhum under a kinder sky.
