Pictured here is a view from Old Stump Pond in Smithtown's Blydenburgh Park, captured slightly before sunset on a rather windy and cold November day.

Overall it's been a pretty mild autumn season here on Long Island, but this particular evening offered a taste of the winter months to come. Despite the chilly temps, it was still a beautiful location to close out the day.

"Blydenburgh Sunset" is an HDR image constructed from 6 separate shots, with a differential of 1 stop between images.

The resulting HDR image was processed using a combination of ACR, Photomatix, and Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Clarity, Clean, Denoise, Glow, and Impression).
