This is a close up of a sculpture standing like a phoenix out of the ashes at the entrance of the Gurudham Temple, an heritage masterpiece at risk in Varanasi (Benaras) built by Raja Jai Narayan Ghoshal of Kolkata (West Bengal) in 1814 CE when a strong Bengali community was flourishing in the City of Lights.

This phoenix could be a kind of warning informing the few visitors that they have reached a space of telluric currents, magnetic fields and invisible forces...
