Nikon D2H / Nikkor 17-55mm ~ 40th-640th / F:9 / ISO 200 My first trip to Germany - Day 2: Taken from Ulm Church Although I went to the top the images from up there didn't lend themselves to the miniature effect as much as the ones taken from lower down. This was taken from the end of the first set of steps so about 1/4 of the way up The blur here was made in Photoshop using the 'Lens Blur' option with a hand painted mask. The mask was pretty rough but I had to make a separate layer for each group of buildings which took me 1-2 hours. After the lens blur was applied I cleaned up the edges using the blur tool. The original image for this was a 5 exposure HDR although I'm not sure there was really much point given there is no sky in the frame... Oh well =P Link to Full Size Version HERE See the rest of my images from Germany HERE. See the tutorial I made for this image Here.
