Nikon D3 / Nikkor 105mm Macro ~ 1/160th * f/5 * ISO 1600 ~ B / FR The furry critter insisted on coming out in to the garden to see what i was doing so I trained my macro on him for a couple of shots and I quite liked this one. I was pleased to get the focusing on his eye while in manual and I got the framing I wanted without the need to crop. The exposure was lowered a little in post (ACR), his black fur was too much even for -1 exposure comp! The ISO crept up becuase the shutter reached my minimum of 160th here but thankfully 1600 hasn't killed it, to be honest in daylight you can do what you want with the ISO without worries. I wish this damn cat would clean his face more. I was going to try and clean the dirt off in Photoshop but I couldn't be bothered and besides, this has more character :P. Highly recommend viewing Large / On Black.
