A whole winter over its head ... HDR

An extremely difficult shot if one is after what I was after that very afternoon ... I was walking on the peopleless shore of Ofrinio when I came across this beautiful, abandoned since last summer lifeguard stand ... I wanted to capture it in all its glorious detail and not simply as a shade ... Its orange painted banister, its wind torn, ragged bluish shelter but also having at the same time the sun as a dominant guest star in the frame ...

I turned my camera's photometer at the sand and having an apperture value of 11 (seeking pin sharp detail all around the synthesis) I had to adjust a shutter speed of 200 in order to take a clear shot ... Then I turned my camera towards the stand, pretending that the sun wasn't even there ... By the way I also turned the flash on trying to capture as much frontline detail as possible ...

The result proudly stands in front of your eyes ...

EXIF: NIKON D90 with Nikon Nikkor 18-55 lens, Manual mode, f 11, ISO 200, focal length 22 mm, manual exposure selection and white balance, centre weighted average metering mode, shutter speed 1/200 s, HDR processing was made out of only one RAW capture, no tripod, flash went off ....
