ladies and gentlemen...The Beatles! - a photo on Flickriver

Here is the Fab Four in needle felted wool. They are each about 10" tall and are quite flexible and lifelike. The challenge was not only to make them look like the Beatles but to create them in the same scale. These are my favorite work to date. Original Felt Alive Needle Felted Wool Sculptures by Kay Petal I sculpt my characters out of wool with a single barbed felting needle. They are fully jointed with seamless (no thread) needle felted joints. They are 100% solid felted wool. I do not use wire armatures yet my characters can be posed and positioned very easily while always returning to the same position I created them in. Wool is an amazing sculpting medium!

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.
