Brügge, Sint-Jakobsplein, Sint-Jakobskerk, Farbglasfenster, Tod des hl. Franzikus (St. James's Church, stained glass window, death of St. Francis)

Um das Jahr 1240 herum wurde diese einschiffige Kreuzkapelle aus dem 12. Jahrhundert – Pilgerstation auf der Reise nach Santiago de Compostela – eine eigenständige Pfarrgemeinde. In der zweiten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts wurde sie zu einer dreischiffigen gotischen Kirche erweitert, und ihr Turm wurde erhöht. Nach dem Bildersturm (1580) erhielt das barocke Interieur eine Auffrischung. 1894-1895 wurde der Westgiebel restauriert und das klassizistische Eingangstor durch ein neogotisches Exemplar ersetzt.
