From out of the Darkness comes a New Life

            We have had five dogs over the past thirty years or so and saying farewell at the end of their shortish lives (in our terms) has been progressively harder each time. After having to have our beautiful German Shepherd Anouska put down because of cancer in April this year, I wondered if I would be able to cope with losing another dog. On Friday I was greatly surprised and thrilled when my daughters put us in touch with the owners of this gorgeous four month old Golden Retriever who urgently needed to rehome him. It took less than two seconds to decide that we should take him on!   We've renamed him "Bali" - partly in celebration of where we were earlier this year and also because it's very similar to his previous name. He's full of life, is already enjoying walks, and hopefully will encourage me to get out of the house with a camera once again. There is a good chance that I will be uploading more pictures of him as he grows - he's already quite large for a four month old puppy!
