Pevensey Castle - Chapel remains - a photo on Flickriver

            The ruins of the chapel within the walls of the medieval castle at Pevensey which in itself stands inside the walls of the Roman fort Anderida.

You can see on the horizon that the church in the village is in a direct line with the chapel, I'm not sure if there is any significance in this.

It is also the landing site of William Duke of Normandy in 1066 before he marched his invading army onto Hastings.
