Night lights | Shinjuku, Tokyo - a photo on Flickriver

There are many images of this scene, but none taken by me. So last night I lugged my tripod and gear across town to Shinjuku and took a couple long exposures from the pedestrian bridge in West Shinjuku looking back towards East Shinjuku.

I don't really think I got anything that exciting or new, but I did enjoy doing a long (4 sec. in this case) exposure at night, which I hadn't done in quite some time. I think the streaking car lights and blurred train did make things at least a little interesting.

I did however remember why I don't like Shinjuku on a Friday night. Drunk idiots everywhere.
