Ralston Purina - Wheat Chex - Party Mix - cereal box - 1950's 1960's

            Here's a deliciously-clean design for a 1950's-1960's Wheat Chex box (exact date isn't certain).  

What attracted me to this box was the "Party Mix" recipe and colorful logo on the reverse - the earliest official version of "Chex Mix" perhaps?

I also like Ralston Purina's checkerboard dress used on the box  - for those of you old enough to remember the many Purina animal "chow" bags, it's almost like this is human chow.  

I should note that this box was apparently some sort of hoarder house find just recently.  I don't know many of the details but it sounds as if the house could barely be moved through and this box, among many others dating to the 1960's and earlier, were found intact, and looking nearly new - opened, emptied, but not flattened, strangely.
