Chuck's 1940 Chevrolet Fuel Truck

            Milford, Ohio.  I first saw this truck at a car show about five years ago.  I got a few pictures of it at that time, but nothing good because of the light and background.  I kept watching for it again, but never saw it.  At a cruise in earlier this year, I got talking to Chuck and asked him about the truck.  He kind of laughed and told me that it was his.  I was shocked to find out that I had spoken to Chuck many times, but had no idea he was the owner of this one in addition to the big red GMC.  I prodded him to bring it to upcoming shows, but never saw it.  Finally, I guess he got tired of me bugging him and he invited me out to his place to shoot this one and the others in his fleet.  I can now check that one off my bucket list.  

Apparently, a friend of his located the truck in the Dakotas and Chuck bought it without ever actually seeing it first hand.  His father-in-law is a sign painter.  He is responsible for the Mobil emblems on the truck - another example of "It's who you know."  He has painted a beautiful replica of the old Mail Pouch Tabacco signs on the outside of Chuck's "barn".  I took a few shots of this truck in front of the sign, but it is too perfect to give the aged look I wanted to complement the truck.
