            The first area of House on the Rocks has a number of Tiffany-like lamps.

Easily the most unique and peculiar place Ive ever been, House on the Rock was created by Alex Jordan Jr. Jordan was am admirer of Franklin Lloyd Wright, but upon showing Wright plans he had made for a building in Madison, Wright was harshly critical. To spite the famous architect, Jordan planned to put an ostentatious house on a high rock overlooking this area of rural Wisconsin. The authenticity of the story is debated, but what cannot be questioned is how massive the structure is--it winds through the mountainside in series of rooms filled with antiques and musical instruments. It's dark, creepy and I could see how one would get lost. Still, I recommend this to anyone in the area.
