Living Stones

            Aloinopsis schooneesii is a tuberous rooted succulent with irregular rosettes of 8-10 roughly diamond shaped, dark green leaves, up to 0.5 inch (1.2 cm) long. It bears yellowish bronze flowers at the end of winter, beginning of spring, up to 0.5 inch (1.2 cm) across, that are silky and daisy like. They open in late afternoon or early evening. These native to South Africa plants are commonly called "Living Stones".
