Anthony and Bertha LaRosa...RIP - a photo on Flickriver

            Navarre Beach. FL

We came upon this unusual sight at the beach. Apparently Anthony and Bertha's ashes were buried in the sands at this location. The urn cans had been deliberately planted in the sands away from the tides. There was a disturbed place aside of the cans where the ashes may have been buried.

Using the information on the cans, I was able to find that both were born in New York and had died in Anchorage, Alaska.

Anthony Joseph LaRosa was born 28 Oct 1934 and died 7 Nov 2004. He was cremated on 11 Nov 2004.

Bertha A LaRosa was born 20 Jun 1930 and died 15 Feb 2003. She was cremated on 19 Feb 2003.

What is interesting is they died and were cremated 12-13 years ago and it has taken this long for the ashes to be brought to the beach, which they must have loved.
