La bandera gigante del Frente Amplio* sube el Cerro de Montevideo.

Frente Amplio's (uruguay's largest left  and centre-left wing party, formed by the coalition of a group of left wing parties such as Socialist, Communist, among others, and left wings fractions of traditional right-wing and liberal uruguayan parties such as Colorado and National) largest flag, made of pieces of thread and fabric donated by voters of this party to Ana Hosta, a votant who works as a seamstress and called every votant to donate their old flags to sew this large one.

*Llamada también la "colcha de retazos", la bandera, que mide alrededor de 1.000 metros, es la bandera más grande del Frente Amplio y la expresión popular más llamativa de esta campaña electoral.
Fue cosida por la obrera de la aguja Ana Hosta, quien junto a su hijo invitó a los frenteamplistas a autoconvocarse a través de facebook, sms, chat, mail, etc. para contribuir con telas y banderas y así armar esta bandera gigante. Colaboraron con metros de tela frenteamplistas de todo el país y participaron en las actividades miles de personas en varios actos tanto en Montevideo como en el interior.
En el caso de la foto (como en varias otras oportunidades), no hubo más actividad ese día que subir la bandera al Cerro, no hubo oratoria ni ningún tipo de acto, solamente se trató de la bandera y de los militantes que concurrieron
