Under dark skies - a photo on Flickriver

Under dark skies

            This is a close-up of the lighthouse that can be seen in the distance in my last upload.
Just experimenting with tones and I think this works quite well.

When I started working on this image, I noticed several small circular black marks - a sign I think that the sensor in my camera is dirty and needs a clean. Unfortunately my D80 (which is now over 4 years old) does not have a self cleaning sensor mechanism :(
Maybe it's time I started thinking about buying a new Nikon SLR :)
