I see Michael busking with his guitar in town quite often and felt that it was time for a portrait. Michael describes himself as an ex-nightclub director, drug dealer and film actor who had a real life changing encounter with God. Michael says he is now a singer/songwriter and follower of Jesus Christ. Unlike many performers on the streets of the city you will find Michael performing his own original songs. He certainly has a beautiful delicate touch on the guitar strings and a captivating voice.

Captured using natural light only and positioning to keep the 'street' context in the shot. I asked Michael to tilt his head down a little so the rim of his hat would add to the look.

I captured a few shots of Michael and he especially loved the black and white ones and was happy for me to share this in my 100 Strangers project. Enjoy!
