Felicia Amelloides (Asteracee) - a photo on Flickriver

            Felicia amelloides (blue daisy, blue marguerite) is a herbaceous perennial of family Asteraceae, native to South Africa. F. amelloides is synonymous with, and formerly known as, F. aethiopica, Aster amelloides, Aster capensis, and Aster coelestis.
F. amelloides is an evergreen shrublet usually about 0.3–0.6 x 0.5 m, but sometimes up to 1 m tall, with densely branched and frequently dark red stems, and rough, hairy, ovate green leaves. Striking blue and yellow flowers are typical of Asteraceae, about 30 mm in diameter, and borne on naked stalks up to 180 mm long.

La Felicia Amelloides (Asteracee) è originaria del South Africa.Questa Margherita blu può raggiungere i 50 cm di altezza; in estate assume una colorazione blu viola . Si tratta di piante sempreverdi, che quindi mantengono le foglie per tutto l'arco dell'anno.
Comunemente chiamata margherita blu o margherita azzurra. E’ una pianta perenne che vive all’aperto, in climi temperati del sud Italia. Fiorisce da maggio a fine luglio in tutti i terreni ben drenati, in posizione riparata ma soleggiata. La pianta dal portamento leggermente prostrato, può raggiungere l’altezza di 30/40 cm.
