            Architect George Washington Smith designed the Spanish Colonial Revival style house for William M. Prindle and his wife Mina in 1926.  Prindle was a wealthy mid-westerner who made his fortune in a variety of pursuits, including a major real estate developer in Duluth, Minnesota specializing in luxury properties.  The Prindles used their Pasadena home exclusively as their winter retreat, between Thanksgiving and Easter each year.
